Curriculum

Children's Division
An introduction to dance for ages 3 to 7. Creative Movement, Pre-ballet, tap, jazz and Ballet I for ages 3 to 7.
Primary Class
For children 6-8, ballet and jazz. This is the beginning of the ballet syllabus. After this year, students decide whether they want to enter the Conservatory program or continue to dance in the enrichment program.
The curriculum for our school is based on the Russian style of ballet, which is taught at most major professional schools. We also incorporate other styles of ballet into our classes to ensure that our students are able to adapt to different dance and choreographic techniques. As a professional with The Atlanta Ballet, Johnson studied under Robert Barnett, a principal with New York City Ballet under Balanchine. She is thus able to teach Balanchine technique to her dancers.
The Conservatory provides a unique opportunity for students of all ages and abilities to study the traditions and discipline of Classical ballet. Whether a student’s goal is a career in dance or purely recreational exercise, our staff offers personal attention and professional training to match each student’s interests.
